Stephen W. May, Sr.
President

Stephen May Sr. is a well known leader in the field of drug and alcohol impairment.  He brings over 20 years of instructor experience to the company.  A retired police lieutenant and former statewide coordinator of Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, Breath Testing and Speed Measurement for the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee, he has trained thousands of police officers at all levels across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He is primarily responsible for program development and delivery for the company.

He participated in a multi-year private sector marijuana and impairment research at a major teaching hospital in Boston and a study of medicinal marijuana for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.  May co-author of a published research paper investigating a smart phone/tablet app as a rapid screening assessment for alcohol impairment.

In 2006 he was certified as a Drug Recognition Expert by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and continues to maintain that certification.  He has been qualified as an expert witness in alcohol and drug impairment by courts in Essex, Middlesex and Suffolk counties.

May holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England University.  He has received multiple awards from MADD for excellence and leadership in education and enforcement efforts in the detection, identification and prosecution of alcohol and drug impaired drivers.

Stephen May Jr. co-founder of the company and in charge of sales and marketing.  He brings over 10 years of instructor experience to the company.  He spent many years as the OIC responsible for the recruiting, training and supervision of the lifeguard unit at Plum Island Beach in Newbury, MA.  Additionally, he has trained hundreds of participants (both public and private sector) in various course topics.

He was previously certified as a Drug Recognition Expert by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and  Breath Test Instructor by the Massachusetts State Police Office of Alcohol Testing.  During that time received awards from Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his efforts in the detection and prosecution of alcohol and drug impaired drivers.

May attended Endicott College in Beverly, MA.
